Anyways, I have a busy week coming up. Tonight I have my Halloween Concert with the Harbor Brass & Penn Cove Brass, the 2nd annual such concert. Last year's was really great, and I'm looking forward to this one. I have them dressing up in Halloween costumes and playing Halloween-themed music, as well as movie music (because you gotta have movie music at a Halloween concert!). I also have them playing at another Halloween concert on Wednesday, which is held by the owner of the music store I teach at.
I also begin rehearsals for our upcoming Saratoga Orchestra concert tomorrow. This one will be fun and challenging, mainly because we're playing the Midsummer Night's Dream Nocturne, which has two big horn solos in it. I've been working on this solo since I was in my first year of college, and for a long time it has always been one that scares me. It's really long and tiring, and that can be intimidating. I'm not as worried this time, though.
Aside from that, Halloween is this week! That will be fun. I'll never get tired of it.
Take care and value music.
