I had to do some splicing at editing, simply because I just don't have the time to try a bunch of takes over and over and over again for longer stretches of the piece. But the splicing is only in between a couple sections, so it's not really that bad. I was playing pretty well for a lot of this, so I'm pleased with how quickly some of it was happening.
Although I still have a lot of things I want to record, such as some arrangements for horn choir, I'm gonna take it easy on recording for a while so I can practice my horn more and work on composition. I've got a really fun concert coming up at the end of the month, so I want to be at my best for it. I've been focusing so much on recording lately that I feel a little rough on the edges...a little more lenient with mistakes (ha, because I can just edit them out). Not the case with real-life performing.
Take care and value music.
