But I had need to make it again. Andy Abel, who is a award-winning young Seattle tubist that I believe is a senior at the University of Washington this year, as well as a sub with the Seattle Symphony, would like to put on a solo recital on Whidbey Island...and he wants to play my concertino! What an honor, for sure! But I had no piano reduction ready, so I busily made one, which is now available here. If you want to hear a recording of it, click on this here. I really love this piece...it was my first piece for a large ensemble, so it means a lot to me.
So yeah, hopefully this performance of his will help boost the popularity of my concertino. And he's so amazingly talented on the tuba that I will be quite a treat to hear him play this.
Take care and value music.
