Now, I know that this Dauprat piece has already been published a couple of times, including by the famed arranger Leigh Martinet. But my version has many differences, including one very important one: I have transposed each of the pieces down a major 2nd or 3rd to eliminate all the high D's and C's in the upper parts. Sure, that means just a few pedal notes in the low parts, but it's something I can handle, so I know other good low players can, too. And it's a small price to pay to getting rid of high D's that a lot of players (particularly in college ensembles) aren't comfortable playing.
Besides that little change, I've added metronome markings and some details markings that were missing from the manuscript.
Can you tell I'm excited about this arrangement? I just really like the music a lot, and I had so much fun recording it. I hope you enjoy listening to it, and, if you're a horn player or have a horn ensemble, I hope you enjoy playing this music.
Take care and value music.
